Syntensia raises $3.5 million to develop Indian market

Syntensia AB, a provider of network security services, raised $3.5 million with an option for an additional $4 million from InnovationsKapital, a Nordic venture capital firm, and a group of private investors in Sweden and abroad.

Stockholm-based Syntensia, provides all-in-one network security solutions for small and medium businesses in high growth emerging markets. “This investment allows [us] to continue our solid growth in India and our expansion in Cambodia and the Philippines,” said Syntensia CEO, Johan Hansson. “It also makes it possible to expand into other Asian markets. We are particularly pleased to have attracted the support of InnovationsKapital, which has a reputation for backing innovative growth companies in Scandinavia.”

Syntensia’s hardware-based appliances are plug and play, all-in-one network security devices that provide firewalls, virtual private networks, intrusion protection, anti virus, spam elimination, surf protection and spyware.
