The total value of the project is €20M, which will be co-funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund as part the Infrastructure and Environmental Programme.
The Technopolis programme includes two combined teaching and research laboratory buildings, the Centre for Advanced Information and Communication Techniques Studies and the Research Technology Centre. Students will be educated in strategic areas including automation and robotics, electronics and telecommunications, computer science and teleinformatics. Construction is due to start in 2010.
