New nanotech lab at UCD is open for companies to test products in development

University College Dublin is opening up its new Nanovation Laboratories to multinational companies, SMEs and start-ups that are developing and testing nanotechnology-based energy and medical technologies.

The laboratories were officially opened by Nobel Prize-winning scientist Walter Kohn earlier this month. The UCD Nanovation Laboratories have had funding of €3.4 million from Science Foundation Ireland and the Higher Education Authority. Over 30 scientists and 120 PhDs and post-docs work in the labs.
