INSEAD’s Abu Dhabi Campus was inaugurated on Monday 28 June by HH General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Speeches were made by Peter Jädersten, Executive Director, INSEAD Abu Dhabi Campus; Claude Janssen, INSEAD Honorary Chairman; Frank Brown, Dean of INSEAD; and Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council

INSEAD first established a centre for executive education and research in Abu Dhabi in 2007 with support from the Abu Dhabi Education Council. This was conceived as a starting point to develop business education across the Middle East, offering insights into managerial ideas and worldwide business practices, and contributing to the development of the region through research into business topics of both regional and global interest.

Over the past three years, the centre has grown and evolved into a Campus with resident faculty and a case development centre, in addition to global research initiatives including, Private Equity and Innovation & Policy. The portfolio of executive education programmes has been widened to serve the requirements in the region. INSEAD’s Global Executive MBA will launch its first Middle East section in October 2010.
