Chalmers Innovation Seed Fund has invested in Witsbits, a supplier of software for cloud services, which allows Internet Service Providers to sell computing power by the minute.

Witsbits’ metering and billing software measures the use of computing power in the same way as measuring electricity. This means the customer only pays for the capacity consumed, while ISPs can increase their revenue.

Witsbits says the move to cloud services is driven by end users who want to pay only for the resources they consume, while having access to server resources as and when the need arises, without pre-booking or waiting.

“Our Go Cloud product allows Internet service providers to meet customers’ new requirements,” said Michael Lirbank, CEO and founder of Witsbits.
