Pierre-Luc Desgagné appointed Québec’s Delegate General in Brussels

The Executive Council of Québec appointed Pierre-Luc Desgagné as Québec’s Delegate General in Brussels. He will take up his post on 17 June 2019.

Mr Desgagné succeeds Michel Audet, who has held the position since December 2014. Mr Audet has been appointed Personal Representative of the Québec Premier for the Francophonie and Special Envoy for Africa.

Biography of Pierre-Luc Desgagné

Pierre-Luc Desgagné is a partner in the business law group at the law firm Langlois and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He has extensive experience in the governmental and political spheres and recognised expertise in crisis management and public affairs. He has acquired a profound understanding of issues relating to social acceptability for development projects. He was previously deputy chief of staff to former Québec Premier Lucien Bouchard and a member of senior management at Hydro-Québec, where he was Vice President – Corporate Affairs and Secretary General among other positions.

Mr Desgagné holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Laval University and is a member of the Québec Bar.
