Can GAIA-X transform Europe’s industrial tech?

A public Science|Business Technology Sovereignty webcast conference (15:30 - 16:30 CET)

GAIA-X is a flagship initiative as part of European efforts to ensure data security, build technology sovereignty and address the dominance of global tech giants. But what are the challenges ahead for GAIA-X? Although it claims to be open, how do non-European companies fit in GAIA-X when the primary objective is to set up a sovereign digital ecosystem? Will it evolve into an entirely stand-alone system, or operate at a global level alongside US and Chinese hyperscalers? How might it transform key industrial sectors such as transportation, chemicals and pharmaceuticals? What else needs to be in place to ensure it succeeds?

Science|Business is bringing together some of the architects of GAIA-X, users and policy makers to discuss what GAIA-X means for European companies and what it can realistically achieve.
