Horizon’s ten big industrial partnerships have invested almost €11 billion in research and innovation. Here are the key players

Horizon Europe’s ten joint undertakings – the largest and most lobbied Horizon Europe industrial partnerships – have so far spent €10.88 billion on research and innovation projects, including €5.91 billion in Horizon Europe money. Here’s how it’s been distributed.
Since 2021, 636 Horizon Europe grants have been signed under these partnerships, involving more than 5,000 different companies, research centres and universities.
The projects injected €2.48 billion into digital research and innovation, €2 billion into mobility and energy, €869.5 million into health, and €528 million into bioeconomy.
There are 12 joint undertakings in key sectors such as clean aviation, hydrogen, rail, health, bioeconomy, air traffic management, smart networks and chips, alongside two slightly different configurations covering metrology and EU research cooperation in the Mediterranean…
