Stockholm University wins over €10M in grants from Swedish Research Council for natural and geoengineering sciences

The Swedish Research Council has published its decision on project and start-up grants in science and technology. 25 researchers at Stockholm University have been awarded project grants, five have received start-up grants. The total grant amount is just over SEK 123 million. A number of researchers from Fysikum are recipients of the grants.

The following researchers from Fysikum have received project grants:

  • Eva Lindroth: “Timekeeping at the atomic level”, SEK 4 222 000.
  • David Marsch: “Illuminating the Universe: New Paths in the Search for Astrophysical Axions”, SEK 4 150 000.
  • Edvard Mörtsell: “Hubble Trouble: A new measurement of the expansion of the universe with lensed supernovae”, SEK 4 150 000.

The following researchers from Fysikum have received start-up grants:

  • Paolo Molignini: “New leading edges for quantum systems with long-range and light-mediated interactions”, 4 400 000 SEK.
  • Thomas Benedikt Schnappinger: “Polaritonic chemistry: Vibrational strong coupling in solution”, SEK 4 400 000.
