These updates are republished press releases and communications from members of the Science|Business Network

On 13 February the National Centre for Research and Development signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Innosuisse – Swiss Innovation Agency on cooperation in the Applied Research Programme under the Second Swiss Contribution to Poland.

The programme aims to improve the quality of applied research in Poland by strengthening scientific and research cooperation between Poland and Switzerland. The Second Swiss Contribution to Poland, officially inaugurated in December last year, is a great opportunity to intensify research cooperation between research centres as well as enterprises in Poland and Switzerland. Our institution is responsible for the implementation of the Scientific Research and Innovation Programme in the area of applied research. The role of Innosuisse is, among other things, to stimulate cooperation between companies and research institutions from Poland and Switzerland by acting as a contact point for Swiss partners interested in participating in the Programme and managing a platform for the creation of Swiss-Polish consortia. The collaboration between NCRD and Innosuisse includes, among other things, promotion, continuous improvement and involvement in the management of the Programme and the evaluation of Programme results. The Programme will soon launch its first call for proposal.
