Poland will host the EIT Regional Innovation Booster pilot before it is extended to other countries

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the Polish ministry of economic development and technology are to launch the pilot phase of the EIT Regional Innovation Booster, which will support high-potential start-ups in emerging innovation ecosystems.
The EIT plans to extend the pilot to at least four countries from 2026 and invest at least €30 million in the scheme up to 2028. The idea is then to launch the full scheme from 2029, depending on the outcome of negotiations for the next long-term EU budget.
The initiative “will empower our entrepreneurs, scale up our ventures and give Polish innovation the visibility and support it needs to thrive across Europe and beyond,” said Michał Jaros, secretary of state at the ministry of development and technology.
