Antenova raises $6.5 million for wireless antennas

Antenova Ltd, a specialist in the integrated antenna, has raised $6.5 million for the commercialisation of its Radionova RF Antenna Modules.

Greg McCray, CEO, Antenova said the money will allow the Cambridge, UK-based company to accelerate the development of the Radionova range of RF antenna modules. The modules are designed to work with a range of receiver chips, enabling a new generation of GPS-enabled mobile devices.

Antenova’s antennas are used by a number of wireless device vendors and manufacturers worldwide in smartphones, feature phones, ultra mobile PCs, PDAs, portable navigation devices, portable media players, trackers and personal safety devices.

The new round was lead by Azini Capital Partners. Other investors who participated in the funding include existing shareholders SPARK Ventures, First Ventures, Herald Ventures LP and Loudwater Investment Partners.
