The ESADE Board of Trustees has officially appointed innovation expert Eugènia Bieto to replace Carlos Losada as Director General, from 1st September.
On taking up the post, Bieto says one of the institution’s future challenges will be, “the progression from an international school to a global school.” She also underlined the importance of “nurturing the ever-growing diversity at ESADE”, which has over 80 nationalities amongst its students and a faculty with members from more than 15 countries. A further challenge for ESADE is to attract the best talent.
Bieto holds a PhD and Degree in Business Studies and a Master in Business Management from ESADE. She is closely linked to the world of entrepreneurship, focussing her career on the design and application of public policies to encourage entrepreneurial spirit.
She designed and teaches the Entrepreneurship module on the ESADE MBA courses and has given training programmes in association with HEC Paris and Babson College, Boston. Between 1997 and 2008, Bieto directed the ESADE Entrepreneurship Centre. She has also served as a consultant for various organisations on ways to foster entrepreneurial spirit.
