International initiative seeks cross-disciplinary teams to tackle UN Sustainable Development Goals

From January 2026, the Canadian government will lead a C$100 million (€61.4 million) international research initiative to harness disruptive technologies able to address global challenges.
Proposals must address at least one of the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the call text says.
To meet the interdisciplinary requirements, project proposals must integrate expertise from at least two of the following domains: natural sciences and engineering; social sciences and humanities; and health and life sciences.
