Up to €2 million offered per project to connect universities with industry and scale academic start-ups

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has issued a call for proposals worth a total of €70 million to strengthen the links between universities and industry. This lines up with EU policies such as the Start-up and Scale-up Strategy.
Funded through the EIT’s Higher Education Initiative, the call will back applied projects that help universities translate science, technology, engineering and maths research into market-ready solutions. Supported activities include developing university innovation strategies, designing and delivering entrepreneurship training, mentoring researchers and students, setting up technology transfer structures, building university–industry partnerships and supporting early-stage start-ups.
