Novo Nordisk Foundation seeks collaborative clinical and mechanistic studies to improve female heart health

The Novo Nordisk Foundation in Denmark, one of the world’s leading funders of pharmaceutical and biotechnology research, is investing €20 million in European collaborative research on sex-related differences in cardiovascular disease.
The funding will be awarded through two new grant programmes:
- The Female Heart – Clinical Research Grants have a total budget of DKK 75 million (€10 million), with up to DKK 15 million (€2 million) per project, focused on clinical medicine aimed at improving the clinical understanding of sex-related differences in cardiovascular disease.
