Cutting-edge laboratories: from idea to market

The MUBIL Center, inaugurated in 2025 with 9,700 m² of space and a €25 million investment, and located just 20 minutes from the French border and one hour from Bilbao, hosts three pioneering laboratories:

• Energy Storage Lab: advanced testing of batteries at cell, module and pack level, including abuse, vibration and safety testing.
• Electric Powertrain Lab: validation of motors, inverters and transmissions for light, heavy and competition vehicles.
• Fuel Cell Lab: testing and certification of hydrogen fuel cells under real environmental conditions.

These facilities enable companies to accelerate the transition from prototypes to commercial solutions, reducing risks and shortening development timelines.

Every two years, Irun becomes the capital of sustainable mobility with the MUBIL Mobility Expo, Southern Europe’s flagship B2B event for the sector.
