Second-round funding

T-VIPS of Oslo, Norway, a specialist in broadcasting video over IP (internet protocol) networks has raised €1.8 million from its existing investors Northzone Ventures and Selvaag Venture Capital.

The money will be used to accelerate the company’s R&D and to expand the company’s international operations.

T-VIPS’ international plans include opening a North American office to support growing US demand for its IP video transport solutions.

“The closing of the second round of funding means that the company is well positioned to meet its international expansion plans, particularly in the US, where demand for T-VIPS’ solutions is really ramping-up,” says Erik Sandersen, Partner, Selvaag Venture Capital.

T-VIPS provides solutions for studio-to-studio media exchange, in-house signal distribution and routing, postproduction, live event coverage and primary distribution.
