Remigiusz Kopoczek, PhD, has been associated with the scientific community for many years. He defended his PhD thesis at the University of Szczecin in Poland.
From 2020, he is a member of the Senate of the University of Silesia in Katowice in Poland. In the years 2012-2016 he was the vice-dean for education and students at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Silesia. He is the co-author of studies in the field of game and virtual space design, and the author of various publications on the process of creating computer games, the use of multimedia and virtual reality in education. In recent years, he was the president of the board of Poland’s first video game accelerator - ARP Games the president of the board of one of the largest economic conferences in Poland - Kongres 590.

That is why I believe that we, as an organization, face a multitude of ambitious goals and undertakings that reflects our role in the process of modernization of our state” – Mr Kopoczek stated in an introductory email to employees.
Remigiusz Kopoczek took over from Wojciech Kamieniecki, following the latter’s resignation, on 18 February.
