The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) for research collaboration on 3rd October 2022 at the Kyoto International Conference Center.

The objective of this MOC is for both parties to cooperate to support joint research and technological innovation activities. Both parties already agreed to initiate a concrete project called “AI-based solutions for well-being, better living environments, and social connection for aging populations “, and a call for proposals was announced in October, 2022 by JST aiming to start research from 2023.

JST will continue contributing to the scientific innovation of both Japan and Canada, by strengthening and enhancing cooperation between JST and the NRC.
