The building of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) federation is entering an important phase.
On the 17th and 18th of March an excited group of research infrastructure experts from many European countries gathered at EOSC Federation kick-off workshop in the premises of the European Commission, where the representatives of piloting candidate nodes exchanged their ideas and plans and built collaboration.
CSC has agreed with the Ministry of Education and Culture to take part in this first step of piloting as a national node for Finland. With this effort CSC wants to offer researchers based in Finland an easy gateway to European services as well as offer our resources, like valuable datasets, visibility and impact in Europe.
While research is international, collaboration across borders can be cumbersome, and the EOSC wants to address this to empower European research and innovation.
