The 2025 Horizon Europe work programme includes eight new research partnerships. Here’s what you need to know

While much of the talk in Brussels currently centres on the next research and innovation programme, to begin in 2028, there is still plenty to be done in the final years of Horizon Europe, including the launch of new partnerships.
The 2025 draft work programmes, which the European Commission pre-published at the end of April, include plans to launch eight new partnerships in strategic areas such as solar photovoltaics, innovative materials and brain health. The goal of these partnerships is to coordinate national research and innovation efforts, and increase industry participation in Horizon Europe.
