Midway through the framework programme, Ukrainian organisations are participating more and receiving more money than ever
Ukraine is having its best run of any EU framework research programme in Horizon Europe, according to CORDIS data from the European Commission.
In Horizon Europe to date, Ukraine research organisations have received €50 million in net contributions across 172 projects. That is the most ever posted by the country, which received €49 million for 233 projects across all of Horizon 2020.
The level of participation has increased since the full scale Russian invasion in February 2022, with Ukrainian organisations joining 136 projects in 2023 and 2024. At this rate the country will surpass the 233 projects it took part in under Horizon 2020 sometime next year. <…
