The European Institute of Innovation and Technology is about to launch a call for organisations to build its tenth innovation network
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is about to start assembling a tenth knowledge and innovation community (KIC) that will focus on water, marine and maritime sectors and ecosystems.
After getting the greenlight from the European Commission last week, the EU innovation agency is preparing to launch a call for the new KIC in early 2025.
This is where the work kicks off, with the EIT now scouting for a network of stakeholders. From 2026, the selected research organisations, universities and industry will steer innovation to tackle challenges such as water scarcity, droughts, floods, and marine and freshwater degradation. <…
