For the first time ever, applicants will be able to propose their own projects – but they must fit IHI’s strategic agenda
The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) will pilot an applicant-driven call next year, letting researchers propose the challenges they want to tackle.
“We've spelled out in our strategic research agenda what we think are interesting, important and impactful areas of health research. Why don't you tell us what opportunities there are to do something interesting within the scope of that agenda?” said IHI‘s executive director Niklas Blomberg.
The IHI is the biggest public-private health partnership in the world. Rooted in the EU’s framework programme, it pools together €1 billion from industry, €1.2 billion from Horizon Europe and €200 million from other life science industries or associations.
