With its network of institutes, France’s National Centre for Scientific Research is the most intense collaborator in the programme
Look at the organisations that collaborate most in Horizon Europe and it is the research councils with large networks of institutes that rise to the top. And France’s National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) is ubiquitous.
CNRS collaborates in 95 projects with the National Research Council (CSIC) in Spain, in 91 projects with the National Research Council (CNR) in Italy, and in 89 projects with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA).
This is not surprising. CNRS is the biggest participant in Horizon Europe, and its 10 research institutes have lots of scope for alliance building.
