Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking (EU-Rail) has announced up to €148.2 million in EU funding to advance the next generation of trail technologies and operational solutions. The funding is expected to support projects worth a total of around €245 million.

Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the European commissioner for sustainable transport and tourism, said the initiative would strengthen Europe’s competitiveness by accelerating the deployment of interoperable solutions across the Single Market. “Open to all innovators, including SMEs, universities and start-ups, the call encourages strong partnerships and practical solutions that deliver impact quickly and at scale,” he said.
