The European Commission has presented an action plan on drone and counter-drone security, with a focus on developing innovative technologies and scaling up production. But it stops short of promising additional funding.
Last year, several European countries, including Denmark and Germany, experienced disruption caused by drone activity near airports and military sites. The new Commission plan is a response to the need to better protect critical infrastructure from the use of drones by hostile actors.
