EFFRA, the European Factories of the Future Research Association, would like to invite all relevant stakeholders to join Europe’s leading manufacturing organisations in commenting and rating the suggested priorities for the work programme 2025-27 of the Made in Europe partnership.
The Made in Europe partnership is now operating in full swing. Two waves of projects have been launched and the project proposals associated with the third call are being evaluated. The development of calls for proposals is now halfway through, with four calls published and three calls remaining.
The European Commission is working on the next strategic plan for Horizon Europe for the three last years of the partnership 2025-27 which will be followed by the respective work programmes, and although it’s too early to say how the work programmes will be articulated, the strategic plan is expected to be adopted early next year. Back in May, EFFRA organised two webinars to discuss Made in Europe’s state of play and present some of the focus areas - Human-Centricity and the Services Dimension in Manufacturing, and Excellence and Environmental Sustainability - for the upcoming work programme, marking the beginning of the consultation.
This democratic exercise is based on the consultation document developed by EFFRA, where sixteen priorities have been drafted, including topics such as circular and connected manufacturing ecosystems, manufacturing with new or limited materials availability, bio-intelligent manufacturing or job transformation. The delineated priorities undoubtedly respond to the current debate on green policies and sustainable practices, in line with EFFRA’s vision of Europe as the most attractive region for producing sustainable high-added value goods and services, ensuring security and resilience for the continent.
Your feedback is essential, as prioritisation and comments would address observations such as rating which priorities are key for the work programme, explaining why a priority matters in order to generate impact on the competitiveness and sustainability of Manufacturing in Europe, or even describing which aspects should be addressed more specifically in the next work programme.
Guidance for the process can be found on EFFRA’s website. To have your voice heard, head to EFFRA’s Innovation Portal, make sure you are logged in, and in the case you are not registered please contact [email protected] to request a registration link.
