Three Spanish schools were ranked in the global top 20, making Spain one of the most attractive destinations for MBA studies

ESADE Business School’s MBA is among the top 20 programmes in the world. The annual Financial Times MBA ranking, published today, ranked the programme 19th worldwide and 7th in Europe on the basis of criteria such as career progress, average post-graduation salary, and the international experience of students.

Three Spanish schools were ranked in the global top 20, making Spain one of the most attractive destinations for MBA students. According to the ESADE MBA City Monitor, students consider location to be the third most important factor in their choice of an MBA programme. With three business schools ranking near the top of the list, Spain is one of the world’s most in-demand MBA destinations.

Josep Franch, Dean of ESADE Business School, commented: “Our showing in this ranking illustrates our momentum in key areas such as globalisation and the internationalisation of the programme. These aspects play an important role in the ESADE MBA and are reflected in the diversity of our classrooms and the post-MBA career progress of our graduates.” Dr. Franch also noted that ESADE’s strong commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship “enables many of our students to successfully start their own businesses after graduating”.

2nd in Europe in career progress

Among the factors valued most highly by the Financial Times were the programme design; the students’ experience, wealth and geographical diversity; the international mobility of graduates; and companies’ perception of ESADE’s ability to adapt to the needs of today’s market.

In particular, the Financial Times highlighted the possibilities for professional advancement offered by ESADE’s MBA, ranking the programme 2nd in Europe and 6th worldwide in this category. The British business daily emphasised the career progress made by ESADE MBA alumni in the three years following their graduation.

Another important factor highlighted by the Financial Times was international mobility, defined as the number of countries in which graduates have worked since completing the programme. Around 90% of ESADE MBA alumni find a job within three months of graduating.

3rd in Europe in international experience

The Financial Times ranked ESADE 3rd in Europe and 5th worldwide for the international experience gained by students thanks to the programme’s global focus and its adaptability to each individual’s needs and professional changes.

One factor that distinguishes ESADE’s MBA is the wide range of nationalities represented in its classrooms. Fully 95% of students are international, hailing from 40 countries across the globe. As a result, students acquire a broad global outlook and develop a keen ability to adapt to different cultures.
