Off to the seaside with AURIL

Why not take a trip to Brighton to network with some spin-out agents? We'll be there.

Later this week AURIL, the Association of University and Industry Links, is in Brighton. They are holding their spring conference in the city, with most of the action on Thursday and Friday.

We look forward to hearing what Graeme Reid, Director of Exploitation in the Office of Science and Technology, has to say in a session billed as a "A Discussion of Last Month's Budget Announcement on the Next Steps for the Ten Year Investment Framework on Science and Innovation". This will be the first chance for most people to get some idea of all that activity in this year's UK budget.

We also want to know what they mean by the theme of the event: "Activating Knowledge: the Evidence Base for Knowledge Transfer".

Some may think they are saving the bnest bit for the final session, when Phil Burgess, MD, PBAS Ltd, talks on "The Rape and Pillage of Higher Education".
