The French in vitro diagnostics specialist bioMérieux agreed a into a long-term strategic partnership with Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation of Japan to develop new microbiology and molecular diagnostic systems.
The instruments developed under this partnership will be manufactured by Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation and distributed by
“bioMérieux’s vision, and a key objective of our 2012 strategy, is to bring full automation to microbiology laboratories around the world. This partnership enables us to work with extremely talented engineers from Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation,” said Stéphane Bancel, Chief Executive Officer of bioMérieux. “We will introduce innovative systems to molecular diagnostics, leveraging bioMérieux’s expertise in biology and Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation’s engineering capabilities,” he added.
