Tiit Land was re-elected Rector of Tallinn University of Technology

On May 9 at 12:00, the TalTech Board convened and elected Tiit Land as rector.

Tiit Land was chosen for a second term as TalTech’s rector. His focus in the new term will be to support:

• The high-tech industry, which will help advance Estonia’s economy to the next level;
• The defense industry, whose rapid development demonstrates Estonia’s will and capability to initiate and grow major new projects;
• The use of artificial intelligence in education and research.

The new rector's term of office will begin on August 1 and the inauguration ceremony will be on August 29. The Senat can veto the elected rector on June 9.
