The pharma company invites projects led by individual researchers from anywhere in the world and at all career stages

The German multinational pharmaceutical company Merck has announced an estimated €1.5 million call for innovative health research projects in five thematic areas.
The call will fund four projects with up to €500,000, and another three for which support will be provided through software licensing and training. The successful applicants will also benefit from working with Merck’s in-house scientists, the company says.
The five call topics are tailored to fit Merck’s expertise in biomanufacturing innovation and digital integration in healthcare. They are:
- In-vitro models and assays to identify novel therapies for neuroinflammatory diseases. Here, Merck will fund one project with up to €250,000 per year for up to two years.
