Measures are needed to ensure public-private partnerships generate ‘knowledge free of bias’ says French ethics body
Researchers working on projects co-financed by industry should be offered training to guard against threats to their independence, France’s National Commission of Ethics and Alerts for Public Health and the Environment (La Commission Nationale de la Déontologie et des Alertes en matière de santé publique et d’environnement, cnDAspe) has said.
The training should include consideration of the diverse forms of influence and the strategies commercial partners could use to influence scientific production, cnDNape says.
