In February, EU Research Commissioner Carlos Moedas announced at a Science|Business conference that he is seeking public comment on his idea to create a new EU institution, the European Innovation Council. The objective, he says: “market-creating innovations.” As a next step, Science|Business is organising a conference for April 20 in Brussels to explore how research infrastructure could generate and finance more of these transformative innovations.
