The European Commission and the European Patent Office (EPO) have agreed a two-year extension to the ip4inno programme, which trains business advisors and Technology Transfer Offices to better support SMEs in their use and understanding of IP rights.

This will include expanding the range and reach of existing ip4inno teaching materials, including translations and e-learning versions. EPO said it is looking for partners to update or create new training materials.

The ip4inno consortium has carried out an analysis of SMEs training needs in the field of IP and the paper is available for download at http://www.ip4inno.eu
