Horizon Europe: Revisiting the strategic plan

Private Science|Business Network FP Working Group meeting (16:00 – 17:00 CET)

Although negotiations continue regarding the final numbers of the EU’s 2021-2027 budget and recovery plan, the European Commission is actively preparing the ground to launch Horizon Europe, its next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, in January of next year.

Towards the end of this year, DG Research will release the final version of its Strategic Plan for Horizon, covering its goals, structure, rules for participation and broad lines of action for the first four years of the programme. Its announcement is eagerly awaited by Europe’s R&I communities at large – not least to understand how the Commission will practically try to balance its hugely ambitious long-term agenda with significantly fewer resources than proposed before the summer.

In this private, online meeting, Science|Business Network members will have the opportunity to explore these in greater depth, as part of their own strategic preparations to engage in the next cycle of European R&I from early 2021.
